The Adaptation Research Alliance (ARA) organized a special plenary session at the Adaptation Futures conference (hosted by TERI, in New Delhi, but being held entirely online) on the paradigm shift needed in research to support action – “Results oriented Adaptation Research” or ROAR.
Dr. Tandon contributed to this session among other experts. Speaking about the value that the alliance can add, Dr. Tandon highlighted that the purpose of the alliance is not to propagate a particular theoretical framework globally or conduct parachute research in the global south. The plenary was concluded by Jesse De Maria Kinney, ARA Secretariat Lead, where he outlined the next steps for ARA, including its launch at COP26.
