Watch the talk given by Dr. Budd L. Hall on Open Science and the Decolonisation of Knowledge at The Riot Science Club. The Riot Science Clubs are spaces for young scholars to meet and discuss issues related to Open Science.
The Rotterdam RIOTS Club is based at the Erasmus Medical Centre and Erasmus University Rotterdam, and works in collaboration with King’s College London RIOTS Club. Talks are usually 40-50 minutes followed by 10-20 minutes questions from the audience.
Dr. Hall spoke on the title “Open Science and the Decolonization of Knowledge: A Conversation on Participatory Research.” His talk focussed on the development of participatory research, on principles of knowledge democracy and the recently ratified UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science.
