UNESCO New Delhi in celebration of the International Day of Education (IDE) 2022 is organising an online webinar on “Changing Course, Transforming Education – Putting a new social contract in education in motion” on 24 January 2022 from 15:30 to 16:30 IST.
The webinar will highlight the immense impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education systems worldwide and the most crucial transformations that needs to be nurtured to build more sustainable, inclusive, and peaceful futures, as highlighted in UNESCO’s Global Report on the Futures of Education entitled, ‘Reimagining our futures together: A new social contract for education’. UNESCO’s celebrations will also spotlight the voices of students and teachers on the changes they wish to see to make education more fit for purpose and discuss strategies to evolve the education system to engender a more sustainable future.
