This is the question that the editor of Euroscientist asks in an insightful article on the status of citizen and civil society involvement in the formulation and implementation of Science policy in Europe. Among those providing reflections on this question are Norbert Steinhaus with the Science Shop-Bonn and PERARES project of the Living Knowledge Network and Claudia Neubaurer of Sciences Citoyennes in France. It would appear that Germany is potentially ready to move forward in providing deeper dialogue and consultation opportunities between CSOs and science policy partners.
